About Arya

Arya is an award-winning non-fiction and fiction writer whose work is dedicated to unearthing the stories of the body and transforming them into art. Her work has been published in New Ohio Review, Bellevue Literary Review, Fourth Genre, CutBank, and selected as Notable in Best American Essays. Her approach as an educator blends creative pedagogy with trauma-informed principles from her background with generative somatics, Core Energetics, and Somatic Experiencing. She teaches classes, offers developmental editing, provides creative coaching.

She is currently working on a memoir, a novel, and a book of essays.
